Columbia, SC: A woman on a Breeze Airways flight was stopped by several people, including the mother of a 14-year-old girl, for touching the girl’s head and leg.
On May 14, Susan Holliday is said to have touched the teen and put the child’s hand on her chest on a flight from Louisville, Kentucky, to Charleston, South Carolina.
Official court records show that Holliday, 61, of Hardeeville, South Carolina, admitted guilt on March 4 for a simple assault on a child while on an airplane.
Charles Condon, a former attorney general of South Carolina, is her lawyer. He did not respond quickly to a request for comment from McClatchy News on March 5.
According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of South Carolina on March 5, Holliday is said to have hit up the 14-year-old while drunk. According to prosecutors, Holliday’s actions made the flight less smooth, which is why the girl’s mother and other passengers stepped in.
The attorney’s office said that Holliday was moved to a different seat and given company by a flight attendant until the plane got to Charleston. According to court records, Holliday was freed on March 4 on a $25,000 unsecured bail.
As a condition of her release, she has to give up her passport, refrain from applying for a new one, and not drink alcohol. According to the prosecutors, Holliday could get up to one year in federal prison and a $100,000 fine.

The attorney’s office said that the sentencing will happen after U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel gets and reads a sentencing report from the U.S. Probation Office. The exact date of her sentencing was not given. The attorney’s office said that the case was looked into by the FBI’s Columbia Field Office.
The group says that the FBI looks into cases of sexual misconduct, assaults, meddling with flight crew members, and thefts that happen on an airline. Hilton Head Island is about 22 miles to the northwest of Hardeeville.
